Complaints procedure

Complaint? Let us know!

At De Wegwijzer, we believe it’s important that everyone feels heard and safe. Do you have a complaint or something is bothering you? Let us know. We’ll take you seriously and work with you to find a solution. First, talk to the person involved, for example, the teacher. If that doesn’t work, contact the school’s internal contact person: Manon Bakker, email: m.bakker@saks.nl or Maaike Koster, email: m.koster@saks.nl. They’ll help you further. If you still can’t find a solution, contact the principal or school leader. If you can’t resolve the issue at school, You can file a formal complaint with the SaKS board. Or you can contact an external confidential counselor.

Participation council (medezeggenschapsraad)
Schools make plans, decisions, and implement changes. The school board is responsible for school policy. However, because this policy directly or indirectly affects teachers and students, the school board must consult with the participation council (MR). De Waaier is part of De Wegwijzer primary school. Therefore, the De Wegwijzer participation council consults with the Wegwijzer participation council on De Waaier’s school policy. The school board consults with the MR on behalf of the school board.

The MR consists of four members: two teaching staff members (the staff section) and two parents (the parent section).
Teacher section:
MR Chair: Tessa Molenaar
MR Secretary: Janneke de Wit

Parent section:
Member: Zahra Sabri
Member: Hafousa Albagouri

De Wegwijzer is also part of the SaKS school organization. Cross-school matters within SaKS are discussed with the joint participation council (GMR).
