Complaints procedure

De Waaier places importance on a safe, secure and trusting school environment. If you have any questions or worries about inappropriate behaviour at our school, you can contact our confidential counsellor, Manon Bakker, e-mail: m.bakker@saks.nl, tel. 072 – 540 10 95. All conversations and contact with her will remain private and confidential.

You can read more about our complaints procedure here.

Participation council (medezeggenschapsraad)
Schools take decisions and make plans and changes. The principal and school board are responsible for school policy. Because school policy directly or indirectly affects teachers and pupils, the school board must consult with the school’s participation council (medezeggenschapsraad, MR).Because De Waaier is part of De Wegwijzer primary school, De Waaier’s participation council consults with De Wegwijzer’s participation council about De Waaier school policy. The participation council consists of two parents (representing the parents) and two staff members (representing the school staff). The council members are elected for a period of three years. De Wegwijzer school is part of SaKS school group. Overarching issues within the SaKS organisation are discussed in the joint participation council (gemeenschappelijke medezeggenschapsraad, GMR).
