Our development goals

We have formulated several development goals in our school and annual plan:

Working on basic skills (math and language)
Safe school environment
Broad development opportunities

Working on basic skills:

We are working on the quality of math instruction;
We maintain a clear view of children’s (math) development;
We are improving the quality of reading comprehension by working with rich texts;
We integrate language and math education into thematic learning;
We translate our vision of learning into individual development plans for children.
We are developing a policy plan for citizenship education.

Safe school environment:

We are developing a citizenship education policy plan;
We are developing a vision for children’s behavior.

Broad development opportunities:

We integrate active learning into our education;
We work with specialist teachers at our school (for example, in culture, sports, and media);
We offer a wide range of after-school activities.

Achieving our goals and monitoring our progress is our collective responsibility. We hold various meetings at our school to facilitate this.

Every two months, a specialist meeting is held to coordinate processes in and around the school. Everyone has the space and opportunity to ask colleagues for advice and make decisions through proper consultation. In addition, we have ‘triangle meetings’ where we discuss children’s situations or behavior with the management, specialists, and educational staff. In this way, we work together to meet the support needs of our children. Finally, we regularly organize team meetings and hold study days to evaluate our current educational approach and look ahead to the future.
